NEO Spine and Sportis recognized throughout Northeast Ohio for its successful programs dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of injuries associated with sports and athletics. Whether you are a weekend, school age, or professional athlete, injuries can limit performance, or put you on the sidelines as a spectator. The mission of NEO Spine and Sport is to provide total care – from treating injuries to optimal healthfulness, and returning all patients to an active lifestyle as quickly and safely as possible.
Active Release Technique (ART) - ART is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART. These conditions all have one important thing in common: they are often a result of overused muscles.
Every ART session is actually a combination of examination and treatment. The ART provider uses his or her hands to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements. These treatment protocols - over 500 specific moves - are unique to ART. They allow providers to identify and correct the specific problems that are affecting each individual patient. ART is not a cookie-cutter approach.
Chiropractic Care - Hands on approach to healing musculoskeletal issues throughout the entire body, which may include: adjustments, massage, exercise therapy, etc.
Rehabilitation - NEO Spine and Sport believes that the education and prevention of injuries is just as important as the treatment of the injury itself. By implementing individualized rehabilitative exercises into a treatment plan our patients can experience faster improvements as well as prevent future flare ups or re-injury episodes. The doctors at NEO Spine and Sport will assess the functional movement patterns of patients to determine what areas of the body require strengthening and which require stretching to help aid in the recovery process. During this assessment process the patient will be educated on what movements, actions or habits to avoid in order to prevent future injury episodes. By combining our in-office treatment with patient education and rehabilitation exercises we are able to get our patients back to doing what they love as quickly as possible.
