Cleveland Tri Club
2016 Campers Guide
Can you believe it’s been 8 years since our first camp? The first year was a memorable one and was highlighted by one word: Camaraderie. That year, the weather was sketchy. The “Chuck-wagon” cabin was cozy (well…
rather tight). Although the learning and training were good, what stuck out was how the weekend’s budding triathletes came together and enjoyed being in a total tri-geek atmosphere. No one complained about the cold, wet weather – but all were very complimentary of quality time spent at Mohican State Park. That year, we did the camp in April. We’ve learned a lot since then.
Each year we make slight changes to improve camp and make it a unique experience year to year. The big changes over the years included: Moving the camp to early May, using a local caterer for meals, offering a veteran’s track, adding learning clinics, adding an optional “Epic Friday” ride. The biggest change was renting out premium cabins from Mohican Adventures – having the ability to spread out a bit with all of our tri gear was a huge bonus for all attending.
Again, this year we’ll offer:
Bike/run courses to give athletes the opportunity to test themselves on challenging terrain.
An option to share a queen size bed with someone or pay a bit more for a single bed.
Have house/room assignments arranged in advance.
The night run course will be marked with glow-sticks to get everyone through safely.
Catered meals: Friday dinner, Saturday lunch, Saturday dinner.
$200 Single Bed
$155 Shared Bed
$65 Arrange Own Lodging
$40 Saturday Only with lunch and dinner included
Space is limited to CTC members (55 registrants) and will be filled on a first come/first served basis. A wait list will also be available to help the camp committee determine if additional lodging will be needed.
