Grand Rapids Tri was a very well organized event with great volunteers. Multiple race distance and variations of races available. Mother Nature was relentless with rain all day; at least it was warm! Transition was set up on a road that they closed, so with almost 2,000 participants transition was long. 2 bike racks per row, 8 bikes a rack, so you do the math! I feel it was an honest course. Inland lake, in water start by waves. I was 1st female in AG out of the water. Bike course was predominantly flat, got some climbing on the back section. Before the half turn around the road was very rough. Well marked and nice police presence at intersections. I felt strong on the bike. Was cautious with the rain. The run was honest with some climbs. I kept a consistent pace and was happy my joints agreed with me that day! I highly recommend this race! I would definitely return! I was proud of a 4th place finish in my AG!
